Christopher Michael Pratt (born June 21, 1979) is an American actor. One of the world’s highest-paid actors in 2017 and 2018, Time named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2015, and he appeared in Forbes‘ Celebrity 100 in 2016. His films as a leading actor have grossed over $14.1 billion worldwide, making him the third-highest-grossing box office male star of all time. Through starring in blockbuster franchises and big-budget films, Pratt has established himself as one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars.
In 2007, on the set of Take Me Home Tonight, Pratt met actress Anna Faris, who played his love interest in the film.[5][149] They were engaged in late 2008[150] and married in Bali, Indonesia, on July 9, 2009,[151] eloping on a whim after a friend’s wedding.[152]
They lived in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.[153][154] Their son was born in 2012,[155] nine weeks premature and weighing only 3 pounds 12 ounces (1.7 kg).[156] Pratt stated that the birth of his preterm son “really defined” his faith in God after both he and his wife “prayed a lot” as they were initially afraid of the baby’s prognosis.[157] The couple split in 2017,[158][159] with Pratt saying, “Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed…We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”[160] Pratt filed for divorce on December 1, 2017, citing “irreconcilable differences” and requesting joint custody of their son. The divorce was finalized on October 31, 2018.
