The HowYaDoin (HYD) website was developed by a crowdfunded, non-profit group of people engaged in the daily pursuit of a better life. In the famous poem by Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken, he describes an encounter that most of us experience at one time or another — the encounter of having to choose. The paths we choose impact our lives constantly. The most common path people choose is one worn down by the majority who prefer a more familiar way with seemingly less risk. Sometimes, we believe that the majority must be right — but this perspective can actually cause great harm.

However, the other path can seem somewhat ominous and strangely interesting. Frost refers to this road as “the one less traveled by.”

The Road Less Traveled, for all of us at HYD, is a journey in constant pursuit of God with every step. This path is less traveled, unfamiliar, and requires faith. The sincere, daily pursuit of God draws us into a closer and more intimate encounter with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. At HYD, we help make this pursuit easier and more fulfilling by providing fellow traveling companions with access to a wide range of helpful resources, as well as guidance from others who share similar life experiences. Discover for yourself all that is offered here, including a wide selection of free books (in print or audio).

If you choose to peer down this unique path, consider what Frost penned at the end of his famous poem: “I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”

Are you curious? Would you like to discover more about a road full of adventure? You will find what the writer of Philippians tells us: “Whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, and worthy of praise” (Philippians 4:8 NLT) can be present throughout your life when you walk this path. Join us — there is no cost or obligation, and you can leave our association anytime.

We hope to see you on the journey as we live a better life together.

The Road Not Taken

By Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
